Walmart, PepsiCo, Lowe’s, CVS
We won a deal with Walmart. It took years to develop, and the evaluation process was over a year and a half. I took countless trips to Bentonville and was in a head-to-head competition with our largest competitor. If we lost, it would have been the most expensive cost of sales for any loss in the history of sales. But it ended up being the largest deal our division ever sold. I am especially proud because I was also working on a few other whales that year. I also won a deal with PepsiCo, and they made me fly to Dubai for the finalist pitch. That year, I sold more than $24 million in signings. Our quota was $2 million.
It’s not a frustration, but I am completely incapable of multitasking. You either have 100% of my attention or 0% of it. I admire people who seem capable of doing 10 things at once, but if I glance at my computer during a call – everything on the call becomes white noise for me.
What I love most about sales is the constant challenge it presents. It’s like playing golf-you can never truly master it, but the journey of improvement is what makes it exciting. I’m always eager to push my limits, to see how far I can go and how much I can achieve. This drive is what fuels my passion for sales.
Unemployed. I don’t think there is any job I would be suited for that doesn’t involve sales.
