In terms of deal size, my biggest wins have included Sobeys, Panda Express, Home Depot, Hines, and ChenMed. But there’s no such thing as a “small customer,” so every win is important to me.
I’ve enjoyed over 500 wins so far at WSA, so it’s hard to single one out as the most rewarding. I’ve worked with several Qualtrics sellers over the last five years and some of my most rewarding wins have been deals that were the first win in a new rep’s Qualtrics career.
My biggest frustration is long sales cycles, especially those that end in a loss. This is just part of being in sales, and I’ve learned to temper my emotions. A good friend of mine once told me that as a salesperson you’re never as great as you think you are on your best day, and you’re never as bad as you think you are on your worst day.
I really appreciate the variety of customers and companies we work with. When I see a billboard, an online ad, a TV commercial, or a product on a shelf, it’s really cool to be able to say, “That’s one of our customers!”
In my free time, I enjoy fishing and dabbling in poetry. If I weren’t in sales, I’d probably try to figure out a way to make a living fishing, writing poetry, or writing poetry about fishing.
