About This Role:

WSA is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Manager to manage our company’s financial transactions, invoicing, payroll, expenses, and general bookkeeping. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial records and smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is proficient in QuickBooks and Excel, and has experience handling accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and payroll processing. This full-time position will be in our Lincoln, Nebraska office and offers competitive pay based on experience; health, dental, vision and 401K benefits; amazing flexibility and a generous time off policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain financial records in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including issuing invoices, tracking payments, managing expense reimbursements, and following up on outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Handle payroll processing, including calculating wages, commissions, managing tax withholdings, and ensuring timely payments.
  • Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Prepare and file tax documents as needed, including sales tax and quarterly filings.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning by providing key financial insights.
  • Maintain organized financial records and assist with audits when necessary.
  • Collaborate with management and external accountants to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Manage sensitive data while ensuring data privacy and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform other administrative and financial tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll, and tax regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Excellent external and internal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Experience working in a small business environment is a plus.
