Marketing Director

Job Description: 

As the Marketing Director for WSA, you will be responsible for developing and executing a yearly marketing plan that aligns with company goals, objectives, and budgets. You will be expected to manage all aspects of the marketing plan and budget, working closely with other departments across WSA. In this role, you will manage all digital, print, content, publications, design, events, social, advertising, and partner marketing efforts. You will work closely with the WSA sales team to provide a unique personal approach to all nurture and lead processes. 

Additional duties include collaborating with vendors and WSA partners, as well as overseeing and managing all events and speaker opportunities for the WSA executive and consultant team.

You are expected to ensure the WSA brand message is consistent, compelling, and high-quality. Your role will be crucial in increasing our market presence, generating leads, and driving annual revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and plans that align with business objectives. Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including digital content, research papers, blogs, email campaigns, ROS ads, print collateral and promotional campaigns
  • Manage marketing platform of the CRM system, including creating and sending email marketing outreach, automation, funnels, and ensuring quality data and inclusion of up-to-date WSA contacts
  • Explore and seek event and speaker opportunities for the WSA executive and consulting teams
  • Maintain a high level of quality and quality assurance on all marketing materials
  • Manage all marketing efforts including but not limited to podcasts, social channels, email nurture, in person and online events, research papers and published content, advertising, partner and external emails, website and microsites
  • Oversee, manage, optimize and maintain the WSA website
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry partners and media
  • Collaborate with sales and consulting teams to develop go-to-market strategies
  • Maintain open conversation and communication outlets with all departments of WSA
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data to inform future initiatives
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats
  • Present marketing strategies, updates, and outcomes to key stakeholders and the company overall

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in a B2B environment
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, content marketing, and lead generation
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience in copywriting or design is preferred
  • Preferred experience in the Human Capital Management  industry 
  • At least 2 years working closely with or in a sales team
  • Proficient in marketing analytics and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM software)
  • Creative thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making
